Joseph Massie was born and raised in Richmond Va, brought up by his mother who did her very best to provide. He recalled life in Churchill, where he was no stranger to the struggles that faced the community, in which he was heavily involved. In the 9th grade, Jospeh was struggling academically and turned to God for guidance, after which he says, clear as day, God told him to become a lawyer. This decision helped him bring up his grades almost immediately and had a profound impact on the nature of his mentality as he found his calling. He successfully went through law school and began his law career in the law firm of his mentor where he practiced for almost 5 years. He received no paychecks, and in fact stated that he was paying them a portion of his profits from the cases the other lawyers wouldn’t take. 

During this time Joseph expressed part of his dedication came from wanting to represent his friends in the courtroom. This dedication was expanded over the years as he helped more and more people.

The experience was a learning process, fine tuning his skills and teaching him what kinds of cases he likes the most. 

In 1998 he opened a law firm alongside his brother, and in 2006 he went at it alone, opening his own law firm. His favorite part of the job; being able to help people with no guidance who are grateful for his help.

Though he’s compassionate and understanding of his clients, he is straightforward, no nonsense and no time for games. 

Joseph is deeply connected to the community, utilizing pure word of mouth networking to bring in new clients he can help. Understanding the severity of the individual case for each client is crucial but J Massie is able to communicate with his clients in a way that perpetuates trust and delivers on expectations. All in all he’s taken his law degree and put it to great use, representing his community in more ways than one.
