The Elite Force LLC

Throughout the greater Richmond area there’s the first black-owned, all-in-one security and security training program in the area. Owned and operated by military veteran and DCJS officer,  Rashad Sturdivant, this Security company protects bars, events, and even does work for music artists as bodyguards. Born in North Carolina and raised in South Carolina, Rashad, one of 3 siblings, grew up with a military background. He joined the Army straight out of High School where he served for 5 years. 

In 2016 he started The Elite force due to the security experience he received in the military. He built the business without any loans, being completely financially self-sufficient. This, he says,  has been the hardest part of Entrepreneurship, a difficulty many Entrepreneurs can relate to. He’s also been doing all of his marketing by hand, utilizing word-of-mouth marketing to book clients. There is hardly any time off for Rahshad who says he is always thinking about his security company, with his work life balance consisting mainly of building his business.

 He says he enjoys protecting others and teaching security and defense as well.

His favorite clients are the instructors, where he works with different businesses to train their security teams as well as training instructors who then go on to train their own teams . As his team travels throughout Virginia, Rashad travels to check on them at any given time all while managing the day to day of the businesses. 

With his continued growth and a security team of over 15 members, The Elite force is looking to reach “Allied” and “Top Guard” status. This vision has the company open to partnerships such as casinos, music artists and events, with the goal to increase community exposure to the company. The long term vision of reaching fortune 500 status would be a dream come true for Rashad, where he will be able to see just how far he’s come from being a small business to growing into a large company. With the community support in his corner, this vision of his, is not just a dream but a personal roadmap to The Elite Force Security’s ultimate success.
